A través de los años las personas que vivimos en los Estados Unidos, comenzamos a aprender el idioma Inglés y se forma una mezcla de palabras de los dos idiomas que hacen que en la actualidad muchos hogares se comuniquen de la siguiente manera.
‘T was the night before Christmas and all through the casa
Not a Creature was stirring --- ¡Caramba! ¿Qué pasa?
Los niños were all tucked in their camas,
Some in vestidos and some in pijamas.
While mamá worked late, in her little cocina.
El viejo was down at the corner cantina.
The stocking were hung with mucho cuidado.
In hopes that St. Nicholas would feel obligado.
To bring all the children with buenos and malos,
a nice batch of dulces and other regalos.

That I jumped to my feet like a frightened cabrito.
I ran to the window and looked afuera,
And who in the world do you think that it era?
St. Nick, in a sleigh and a big red sombrero,
came dashing along, a crazy bombaro!
And pulling his sleigh instead of venados,
were eight little burros approaching volados.
I watched as they came, and this quaint little hombre:
That I jumped to my feet like a frightened cabrito.
I ran to the window and looked afuera,
And who in the world do you think that it era?
St. Nick, in a sleigh and a big red sombrero,

Then standing erect with his han on his pecho,
he flew to the top of our own very techo!
With his round little belly like a bowl of jalea,
he struggled to climb down our chiminea.
Then huffing and puffing, at last in our sala,
with soot smeared all over his red suit de gala,
he filled all the stocking with lovely regales,
(For none of the niños had been very malos.)

Then chuckling aloud, seeming very contento.
He turned like a flash and was gone like el viento.
And I heard him exclaim, and this is verdad,
“¡Merry Christmas to all! ¡Feliz Navidad!”
And I heard him exclaim, and this is verdad,
“¡Merry Christmas to all! ¡Feliz Navidad!”
La persona que escribió esta versión de la Navidad al estilo Spanglish es Gary MacEoin. Esta es una realidad que viven los hogares en los Estados Unidos, esto es lo que se esta llamando un nuevo idioma.
¡Feliz Navidad y próspero Año 2008! para todas las personas de buena voluntad que trabajan por un mundo más justo y más humano. Deseo que el Niño Jesús habrá los corazones de buenos y malos en está Navidad y nos libre de las cadenas que nos atan y nos hacen permanecer en la oscuridad.
